What's worse? Finding out that hot lad you fancy can't kiss, or that he's got bad breath? More than likely you'll put up with a bad kisser (you can train him) but not his stinky breath. Trebor and YouGov recently ran a survey asking over 2000 people what really puts them off locking lips.
Cigarettes are the worst thing to smell on someone’s breath nearly half the nation said cigarette breath was top of their list of hates, ahead of garlic breath (26%) and booze breath (10%).
Shockingly, two thirds of us admitted our own breath could be better. So where should you go to find the best breath (and perhaps the best kissers)? Head over to the East of England those folk on the coast are an example to the whole country, boasting the sweetest breath in the land. In the poll almost two thirds of people from the East of England said it was rare to find cases of bad breath in their region. This compares with just 44 per cent in Yorkshire.
Despite the gales of bad breath sweeping the nation, two thirds of us still wouldn’t tell someone if they had a breath problem – though one in five people would consider dropping a heavy hint by giving the culprit a mint. We think you should pluck up the courage and tell your beau about his faux pas! Who want's to kiss an ash tray, or put up with last nights garlic repeating itself?
