Insider info on Nicole and Paris?

The long-standing feud between Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie has reached epic proportions in Hollywood. The pair – who used to host the popular Simple Life show together – originally fell out back in January 2005 – although the real reason for their animosity has never been revealed.

The closest either of them came to discussing it was when Paris said, ‘Nicole knows what she did.’. However, there’s one man who believes that the socialites argument might not be so final – Nicole Ritchie’s dad, the R’n’B legend, Lionel Ritchie.

When asked about his daughters former friend, he said, ‘They have been having arguments since they were three.’

‘My mother gave me some good advice: 'As parents, if we can just stay out of our kids' arguments, nine times out of 10 it will take care of itself.’’

But when pressed on wether he knew the cause of their falling out, he added, ‘We may never know what it is, and you know what? Certain things we just don't want to know.’

XMEN to spawn 4 spin-offs?

The recent release of the new X-Men film, The Last Stand, has been a huge success, taking an unprecedented £55million in its first three days after opening last weekend. And because of all the current interest in the film, producers are looking to cash in on the captive audience by introducing 4 new spin-off films.

The first spin-off, Wolverine, has already been confirmed and aussie actor hugh Jackman will reprise his role as the fast-healing mutant with metal claws for filming early next year. There have been rumours of a film featuring X-Men baddie, Magneto, played by Sir Ian McKellen. The film would follow his story before he became a villain.

Another film would introduce us to Emma Frost – a powerful telepath with the sometime ability to turn her skin into diamond. She hasn’t featured in any of the films, but is a regular character in the comics.

The last suggestion follows students at the Xavier school. Hutch Parker, the production President for 20th Centruy Fox said, ‘We've talked about doing something on the kids in (Professor X's) school, focusing on their lives, and less of a global adventure for the team.’

Garner's declines Dallas because of J.Lo

Jennifer Garner isn’t normally someone who would turn down a good meaty role, but she recently turnd down the chance to appear in the new Dallas film, where she was offered the part of Pam Ewing. Apparently, the former Alias star was keen to do the film, but declined when she found out that her husband’s (Ben Affleck) ex, Jennifer Lopez, had already signed up.

Lopez has already been confirmed to play Sue-Ellen in the remake, and Garner thought that it was better to decline her role rather than risk unrest on the set. A source said, ‘Jennifer Garner was really keen to be in 'Dallas', but I think she felt there would be a bit of a strain between them on set and that could have led to awkward situations.’

Lopez and Affleck split in early 2004. He then got with Garner seven months later. The couple now have a six-month old child, Violet, who was born earlier this year.

Britney’s got a new man

Kevin Federline had better watch out – because Britney Spears has a new man in her life. But no, there’s no hint of romance in the air – as it’s her new Manny (male nanny).

28 year-old Perry Taylor – a former LaCrosse coach who wanted to be a United States Marine has been tasked with looking after Britney’s eight-month-old son, Sean Preston.

Not bad for someone who has no previous experience with children. However, the new guys mum had a few things to say about his appointment. She pointed out that he originally wanted to join the US Navy, before ‘the women in his life talked him out of it’.

And when asked if he had any suitable experience for his new job, she pointed out that his current role is more of a bodyguard. ‘He's just beginning to learn about babies.’ She added. You can be sure that Kev’s got one eye on the new man though.

Kylie makes her comeback

Pop princess Kylie Minogue made her stage comeback at the weekend – by butting in on her sister’s gig.

Kylie has been out of the public spotlight since her battle with breast cancer last year. However, having now made a full recovery, the Spin Me Around star felt it was time to re-introduce herself to her fans.

Dannii was performing at the Astoria nightclub in London, when her sister was ushered onto the stage carrying a huge bouquet of flowers. Kylie had a few words of praise for her sister, saying ‘I want to say a special congratulation to Dannii. I love you so much and I'm so proud of you.’

Then the pair sang Dannii’s hit Jump To The Beat – much to the delight of the hundreds of screaming fans.
