We talk to super sister Kelly about her favourite clothes designers, being single and Beyonce.

She was one-third of the world's most successful girl group and now a successful recording artist in her own right, Kelly Rowland has just released her second solo album Ms. Kelly (entering the U.S charts at #6). Despite her hectic schedule promoting her album across the globe, she found time to speak to Puffta on her mobile phone whilst waiting for a delayed flight. We kept her entertained

Puffta - What happened to a supposed naked album cover then Kel?
Kelly - I don't know where that came from! The album covers really nice it's very sassy, very mature. I'm basically standing with my hands on my hips and my waist looks real small in a cute little outfit, so I really love it. It's very demanding.

What's changed since your last record 2 years ago?
Personally and as an artist I feel like being in the studio was so therapeutic for me to sum up my personal experiences. I've written about me almost getting married two years ago to exploring this crazy sucky single life I have now, all of that! Songs about the break up, songs about little crushes I might have.

Oh no! So you don't have a boyfriend?
I'm not the type of girl who wants to go out with Bob one night and Alan the next. I just can't do that. I'd rather just chill. If there is someone I do like I'd rather just date that one person. I do have a crush on someone but he's not famous!

What about famous guys you think are attractive though?
I think Orlando Bloom is so beautiful. He is so handsome.

When you went solo Michelle was gospel, Beyonce was mainstream pop and you were alternative r'n'b. Is that still the case?
No, that's not the case. I don't like to put music in a box. I feel like with this record I added a little bit more funk to it, little bit more base, little bit more drum and It's not so much music that is r'n'b. I hope it's music that is popular, which of course pop is. I want everyone to enjoy it.

Would you go head-to-head with Beyonce in the charts?
We're basically about to do that. Beyonce's albums out and singles doing well, my albums about to come out and singles doing well. She's on tour and I'll be going on tour. I don't care. Everybody else cares. We don't care. We don't even talk about the music industry when we get together. It's a real friendship.

Will Destiny's Child ever reform?
We'll see! I think it's a possibility.

You collaborated with Trina and her lyrics can be quite rude and raunchy. Do you not mind going into that territory?
That's why I love her! That's her. One of my favourite songs is Baddest Bitch which I love because every women should feel like that. She's empowering.

You've done acting as well. Did you ever audition for Dreamgirls?
No. I didn't want to audition for Dreamgirls. I was so happy in that moment for her because B was so excited and she wanted it so bad. It was her dream role and she got it and I was so happy for her. But Dreamgirls, that's her thing not mine.

Did you enjoy Dreamgirls?
I only say half of it because Beyonce took us out.

How do you feel about Jennifer Hudson?
I'm really happy for her. I just hope everybody still continues to support her.

How did you get involved in the youth AIDS charity you have worked with?
Well they actually reached out to me, I'd done some work with Destiny's Child before and I told my manager I wanted to be involved with a youth AIDS organisation just to bring awareness to young people that it can happen to you. I think young people can be a bit like i'm fearless I can do no wrong but it can happen to anyone. It could happen to me. It's really important to protect yourself and to be smart and know that it's out there and that it could. You only got one life to live and it's precious. I feel like life is a gift from god.

What clothes do you shop for most?
Brands I really love are DSquared, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Beyonces House of Derrion is awesome.

What do you look for in a man?
I want a man not a boy. That's two different words there and I want a man. He has to be chivalrous. Someone I can have fun with.
