WATERMAN TO PEN EUROVISION ENTRY

Pop legend Pete Waterman has announced that he'll be penning the UK's entry for this year's Eurovision song contest...

The iconic producer, who is responsible for hits by everyone from Kylie and Jason to Steps and The Sheilas, says he is "relishing the opportunity" to bring his talents to the much-loved competition.

An unknown act is expected to be sought through a TV talent search similar to last year's Your Country Needs You - where Sugababe Jade Ewen beat hundreds of hopefuls to represent her country.

Eurovision takes place in May, in Oslo, Norway. The search for a singer is expected to begin early next month.
